Breathwork uses conscious breathing techniques to support the nervous system, emotional release, and energy. The breathwork facilitators on Welvow are independently reviewed and work across many approaches, from gentle coherent breathing and physiological sighs to more activating practices like holotropic and conscious connected breathing.
Welvow is a wellness companion, not a medical service. If anything you're experiencing is concerning you, please speak with your GP.
Sometimes a different practitioner ends up being the right fit, or a combination of approaches gets you further. The Welvow quiz takes 3 minutes and suggests what might genuinely help, based on what you're hoping to support.

What breathwork actually involves, and how people use it.
After a chat about what you would like to support, the facilitator guides you through conscious breathing patterns, sometimes gentle and settling, sometimes more activating. You might lie down or sit. Sessions usually last 60 to 90 minutes, in person or online.
Most people can take part, but some stronger techniques are not advised in pregnancy or with certain heart, respiratory or psychological conditions. A good facilitator will ask about your health first. If in doubt, check with your GP.
Fees vary by location, session length and whether it is one to one or a group. Many facilitators on Welvow list their pricing on their profile.
Breathwork is not statutorily regulated, so look for recognised training, insurance and trauma-informed experience. Every facilitator on Welvow is independently reviewed, with their background on their profile.
