About this episode
Sauna bathing is an ancient wellness practice deeply rooted in many cultures and traditions around the world. Sauna goes far beyond relaxation. In fact, regular sauna use is scientifically proven to deliver profound health benefits, particularly for cardiovascular health, brain function and longevity.
Today, we are delighted to share the mic with Seed’s Sauna Master Anna Burkitt, founder of The Chiltern Sauna Circle located in Buckinghamshire. Here, Anna shares her amazing knowledge and insights around the current rise of this healing and even transformative modality for body, mind and soul.
Said Anna, “I started using sauna for healing and refuge. It provided the space for me to get through some tough times. I think we have come back to this point in society we need more social spaces, we need more ways to connect on deeper levels, we need to be able to connect with each other’s spirits and we need to be in physical spaces in order to be able to do that.
"It really feels it’s a movement, a cultural revolution of sauna. We are seeing lots of amazing studies coming through backing it up with the science as well.”
