About this episode

Divorce is a highly challenging process. Yet, having legal representation is incredibly expensive and, for some, completely cost prohibitive. Subsequently, more women than ever before are representing themselves. Often they are ill equipped to navigate the process both legally and emotionally. And this is where Olwen's work as a Divorce Empowerment Coach is playing an incredible role. A divorce lawyer for over 20 years, Olwen moved into coaching in order to support women both legally AND emotionally - something she felt was missing and much needed. She can also accompany her clients in court.  Said Olwen, "Legally I help them understand their options before they speak to a lawyer. I also help them cope with anxiety, overwhelm and even grief, providing practical tools, helping them rebuild confidence, co-parentlng strategies, financial planning and reclaiming themselves.  When those two piece come together, they feel more confident, empowered, calm and hopeful for the future.  Just having a bit of a road map helps reduce the overwhelm they are feeling."
