About this episode
In this podcast, Beth Newbery-Dunn, Holistic Grief Coach and Paedeatric Physiotherapist located in Welwyn/St Albans, shares how her own loss journey led her to becoming a Holistic Grief Coach.
Beth knows from personal experience how grief can effect every aspect of your life, from how you function daily, managing your emotions, change in identity and relationships.
"Grief changes you, it becomes part of the new you, and navigating that in itself is a journey.'
"Grief is not linear and it doesn't disappear, it changes in intensity throughout all times of yourself and navigating that needs to be supported'.
Beth talks about the misconceptions of grief and how you can support someone who is grieving. She discusses how grief journeys are very individual and can manifest in lots of different ways for each individual.
Having support on this journey is integral in being able to hold yourself, support yourself and grow because grief is not linear, it is not there one day and gone the next.
Grief goes up and down, it can sometimes bring smiles, sometimes bring loneliness and sadness, it can bring symptoms and changes, it can bring emotions and anxiety, it can bring a whole new identity and perception of how you now see yourself and the world around you.
A Holistic Grief Coach can help you navigate this is a journey, as grief flows with you, to support you in learning more about yourself and how you are affected by your own grief, how you carry your grief, how you manage your moments and how you move forward honouring those who you have lost.
Beth specialises in supporting new parents without a Parent, Beth knows firsthand how tricky time this can be, and loves to suport people in these moments where she know she needed it the most.
